Summer Camp Scholarship Applications Are Available.

Want to brush up on your game? Summertime means lacrosse camp time. The US Lacrosse Camp Scholarship Program provides educational lacrosse opportunities for children between the ages of 6-18, made possible through generous tuition waivers by camp directors across the country. Since the inception of this program, over 900 children have attended camps through spots donated by camp directors nationwide. Don’t miss out on this opportunity – the summer camp scholarship application deadline is APRIL 25, 2009. Download an application form here.

Girls' Lacrosse Camp at Lawrence Academy Summer Programs

This camp provides an exciting opportunity for girls entering grade 4 - 9 to improve and strengthen their lacrosse skills and game knowledge. Each day will offer a dynamic combination of drills, skill instruction, fitness activities, and game play. Campers are divided by age and will participate in mini- and full-field games and competitions each day. This is a great camp for those new to lacrosse as well as those with experience who are looking to improve their game. Come and learn from the best.

Players enjoy daily swim time and lunch is provided. Bus service is available in Littleton.

Dates: June 28-July 2

Entering Grades: 4th-9th

Cost: $295 Discount of $25 is available to teams that sign up five or more players.

Hours: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

The Central Mass Club Lacrosse Clinic

The High School Teams and coaches will conduct a Free Lacrosse clinic for girls in Grades 5- 8 on Sunday, March 28th at Team Works in Northborough. The clinic is offered to support the Club's participation in the Lax for the Cure Tournament on July 10-11,2010 Each team that participates in this tournament are asked to raise $1500 with all proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

The only "fee" associated with this clinic will be the opportunity to purchase Lax for the Cure bracelets. All proceeds from the sale of the bracelets will be donated to the Lax for the Cure Tournament.

Given the field size limitations, the clinic is offered to the first 40 girls who register. We hope you will join us on March 28th to learn some lacrosse and to support CMass' participation in the Lax for the Cure Tournament!

New England United

Brown and Harvard University Womens's Lacrosse coaches Keely McDonald and Lisa Miller have started a club team called the New England United. For the first year, they will have teams for 5th-9th graders. There are 2 separate tryouts - one at Harvard (Jan 23, 2010) and one at Brown (Jan 24, 2010). Once on the team, players will participate in 4 clinics (once a month from Feb-May), 10 practices during the summer, and will get to play at 3 summer tournaments. It is especially important to note that at all of these events, players will be coached by COLLEGE COACHES and CURRENT PLAYERS!
