MBGLL's Community Lacrosse Program
1st Year - Head & Ass't Coach’s Requirements
- US Lacrosse membership valid through June 30, 20xx (season's year)
- US Lacrosse online Level 1 Coach's clinic
- PCA - Double-goal Coach (online)
- Concussion Training (online)
- Rules Clinic or Rules Q. & A. (online or in person)
- US Lacrosse in-person Level 1 Coach's Clinic (3 hours)
- CORI check
- US Lacrosse Level 1 Certification
- Coach's Card*
- SafeSport (new federal requirement)
2nd Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements

MBGLL's Select Program
Head and Ass't Coach’s Requirements
- Satisfy all requirements for MBGLL's Community Lacrosse Program plus
- Must attend the US Lacrosse/MBGLL Rules Certification course (not the Q. & A. session)
Notes
- * All head and assistant coaches must wear a coach's card in order to be in the team bench area.
- Every year coaches earn a sticker for their card indicating that their credentials are valid for the current season and that they attended the mandatory training for said year.
- **Coaches must participate in continuing education every other year. Continuing education could include the following:
- Level 1 (repeat the course)
- Level 2 (if appropriate for the level that a coach is instructing)
- New England Convention
- US Lacrosse Convention
- Any pre-approved training. Submit your request to your division director.
- If a coach has already completed the requirements, s/he simply needs to submit completion certification to the division director.
- New towns have 2 years to obtain US Lacrosse Certification. All other compliance requirements are mandatory.
- Coaches have the option of obtaining US Lacrosse National certificication by submitting paperwork for background checks directly through US Lacrosse OR coaches may become MBGLL Level 1 Certified by submitting proof of an approved CORI check (annually).
