Mass Bay Girls Lacrosse League (MBGLL) is a Sunday afternoon recreational program located in Eastern Massachusetts. We organize and operate a program for more than 8,000 young girls' lacrosse players. In 2014 we will have 88 different towns represented with over 400 teams in 1st through 8th grade. MBGLL started the MBGLL Select League during the 2010-2011 season to offer U13 and U15 players the opportunity to compete at a higher level of competition on their town's team. Our mission is to promote girls' youth lacrosse in an environment that emphasizes fun, while developing skills, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and integrity.
Hello MBGLL Town Administrators and Coaches, (officials, please ignore this message).
This is a reminder that our annual meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, September 15 at the Douglas McArthur Elementary School, 494 Lincoln Street, Waltham MA 02451. Check-in and volunteer sign-up begins at 6:30p. The meeting is scheduled from 7-9p. As a reminder, it is mandatory that one person from every town attend the annual meeting AND/OR a divisional meeting. Division meeting dates and locations are posted on our website at www.mbgll.org. The entire MBGLL board is looking forward to seeing you and helping to plan for the upcoming season!
I know that some towns are interested in having PCA visit their locations to present a double-goal parent clinic. Below is an opportunity for you to apply for grant money to help pay for any PCA clinics.
Sportsmanship Matching Grant- Designed to help lacrosse organizations educate their leaders, coaches, parents and athletes on honoring the game. Through this grant, US Lacrosse will subsidize 50% of the cost of a one-year Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Partnership to awarded organizations. The partnership consists of up to 3 workshops for leaders, coaches, parents or athletes. In addition, US Lacrosse will cover 100% of the cost of up to 100 books, which accompany (and are required for) all live "in-person" PCA workshops.
